About the artist:
My name is Cassandra Martin and I was born and raised in the central valley of
California, a short distance from the capital, coastal redwoods, and the
Sierra Nevada mountains. I have been inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds me and I try to incorporate the less appreciated aspects of it into my work. I have been making art for most of my life and teaching art since 2005.
While my degree is in illustration, I am also a sculptor and painter. I teach fine arts and sculpting at the Creative Arts and Music Center in Granite Bay, California.
